Infrared radiation source for attitude sensors used in satellites
In this application, a manufacturer of attitude sensors was about to lose a contract for providing sensors for a lower-than-normal altitude satellite constellation. In this case, they needed to independently control four infrared radiation sources, instead of the single source they were accustomed to providing. We provided a solution that would control four sources without requiring a modification to their ASIC, thereby lowering their risk to an acceptable level. They got the contract, and we implemented our proposed design successfully. High reliability and worst case design practices were employed.
